17 HMR vs. 22 LR | Rimfire Showdown
A rimfire showdown between the 17 HMR and 22 Long Rifle against soft, hard, and intermediate targets.
Rifles Used:
17 HMR - Savage 93R17 with thumbhole stock.
22 Long Rifle - Smith&Wesson M&P 15 with CMMG 22 Conversion bolt
NOTE: I understand this is not the most ideal way to represent the 22lr in a barrel with rifling not ideal for such a light round, HOWEVER, the impact of this will be negligible at near point blank range
The 22 ammo was not V-max like the 17 HMR ammo, but they were the same on the basis that they are each the most common ammo sold for each perspective caliber.
