9mm Hollow Point Expansion Test - Under Water Slo-mo!
The casted bullet for this 9mm is a from a NOE TLC357-135-RF RG2 mold. This mold comes with 3 pin sets. One for Flat Points making 140gr bullets, one for shallow points - 135gr and one for deep hollow points - 126gr. All bullets shot today where casted with Air Cooled wheel weights measuring roughly 13 bhn. Powder charge was 3.5gr of W231 using CCI 500 primers inside mixed range brass. COAL at 1.041"
I managed to capture some really awesome footage which replicates the same results and looks of shooting into ballistic gel. Oddly enough the hydraulic expansion of just shooting into water verses gel medium shows some devastating damage. I hope to try more of these test in the future at higher velocity cartridges such as the 350 Legend
