AR-15 Typical Gas Port Erosion After Only 40 Rounds!

Short video today showcasing typical gas port erosion that you can expect after only 40 rounds! The initial erosion is significant but in my experience it slows down after a few hundred rounds and then takes thousands after that to where the barrel will start allowing more gas flow effecting rifle operation. This amount of wear is typical of Stainless, Chrome Lined, Chrome Moly Vanadium, Melonite/Nitrided or plain steel barrels in my experience. Double chrome lined (machine gun steel) may last a little longer but all gas port barrels are going to wear!
