This is Sarge here at C4 Defense, and I'm testing out my new audio set up. I've upgraded from recording my audio on a voicerecorder (and spending entirely too long editing it back into the video) to a RODELink wireless lapel mic system. I also switched from the RODE VideoMic Go down to the RODE VideoMicro. The VideoMic Go is a shotgun mic that picks up too much noise from the creek behind the range. In addition, I implemented a Saramonic SR-PAX1 two channel mixer to adjust the audio levels so I don't keep overpowering the camera while shooting.
While I was at it, I thought I'd split the audio and compare my iPhone X (front camera) with my GoPro Hero 6. Let me know in the comments if the audio sounds ok, and also let me know which video looks better. And as always SUBSCRIBE, COMMENT, LIKE, and we'll see you on the range.
