In General

Playing around with the notion and the process with reloading berdan primed steel cased ammo. As we all know boxer primed 7.62x39 is few and far between without paying an arm and a leg for it. This is just my attempt at performing the task of removing those pesky primers.

I've been reloading for and casting my own bullets for my SKS rifles for over twelve years using the Lee three die set. All the Lee .312" dia. bullet molds which usually cast a little larger than spec. in bullet weights from 155 to 185 grs. work well after powder coating, gas checking and sizing the bullets in a Lee .314" push through sizer. The two Lee molds I like best are the Lee 160 gr. TL design and the Lee 185 gr. RN. Favorite powders are Alliant 2400, Reloader #7, H-4198 or IMR or H-4895.
