Here's a short video showing some differences between combat accuracy (self defense) and target shooting. A good rule of thumb is that if you can cover all your shots with your hand, under stress, you’re shooting as quickly and accurately as possible. If they’re all over the place you’re shooting too fast, if you’re keyholing it you’re shooting too slow. Split the difference, get accurate shots on target, and get out of there. This is an introduction to self defense shooting, and just covers the differences in the acceptable level of accuracy in both. We’ll see you on the range.
