This video will help you understand why we swage the cartridge case and how to use the swage kit by CH4D. The cost of this kit at the time this video was made was $45.11 and, IMO, it is a superior product that is reasonably priced.
One note I would like to make is: The instructions say "to support the case neck with free hand to prevent case from tipping in the shell holder." I have found that if you decide to swage without supporting the cartridge case with your free hand that it should work reliably if you have it dialed in correctly. You just want to make certain that you are not bending the case head when it tips. You should start out following your instructions and then begin working with it to produce the best results. I also recommend you use CH4D shell holders because they are tight fit. Also, this product may be able to be used on more presses than I am aware of and CH4D can better tell you if it will work on yours. God bless and thanks for watching. Highboy
