H&R 1871 Pardner Pump Protector 12 GA

Sure, it is not American made but for under $200, the H&R Pardner Pump Protector is an excellent home defense shotgun. It is a bit heavy but less felt recoil is the result and this shotgun makes the perfect truck gun. Easily found at your local Walmart or sporting goods store I would say it is on par with the Maverick 88 in terms of quality. The black finish on the gun is a bit thing but this shotgun would make the perfect candidate for a Cerakote project. Parts are also compatible with several Remington 870 parts with an exception to the barrel and receiver. I'm not sure about the trigger group, either but the butt-stock and fore-grip should be interchangeable with those parts that fit the 870.
