There is really no excuse for folks to get this pistol any longer. There are safer pistols right around the same price that have much better features, functions, and reliability. Hi Point pistols have the potential to fire out of battery because they have no internal firing pin block safety. They are plagued with mag feeding problems that in turn can lead to out of battery firing. Most other pistols outside of the Saturday Night Special "ring of fire" types do not skimp on safety. This pistol along with the Jimenez JA9 are in the same quality and safety category as other ring of fire pistols.
