Lessons Learned During My 1st Carbine Competition
Some lessons learned and tips for competing in carbine competitions. Texas Tactical Match 2/3/18
Stage Info:
Stage 1:
2 Shots per target, black areas on targets will not count as a hit. 13 rounds loaded into rifle, forced transition to pistol to finish course of fire.
Stage 2:
1 shot on each steel target while retreating to cover. 3 Shots on each target with rifle, black areas on targets will not count as hits.
Stage 3:
Two 6 round magazines were turned in, and shuffled in terms of amount of ammo in each mag. Two 2 round strings on each target with an unknown time to reload, and final 2 round string on each target with pistol.
Stage 4:
2 rounds on each target while maneuvering obstacles. 2nd to last target was a hostage target.
Stage 5:
First two targets required 2 shots to chest and 1 to head, 3rd target was a forced transition to pistol also requiring 2 to the chest, and one to head. All remaining targets required 3 shots. Black areas on target do not count as a hit.
