M+M Inc AK Variant :: Shot Show 2015 :: Musty Yeti

This was my second stop at SHOT Show 2015. I walked by this booth, saw their AR/Ak's, and i just had to get it on camera. Allison did a great job covering their new weapon systems. As you can see on camera this is nothing like your standard AK. M+M Inc has taken their time and made a better looking, and better functioning AK. Their company is based out of Colorado and their rifles are entirely US made. We have a solid AK here, a monolithic upper picatinny rail. That will help eliminate any sort of wobble in your front sight and just make for a very stable sight picture. It also sports a fully free floated and nitride coated barrel. This will help you keep tighter groups when shooting long ranges. There will be no rail interference with the barrel. The completely redesigned how you break this down. They've relocated the push tab for the dust cover under the buffer tube/rear of the receiver. Simply push the button and the AK opens up exactly like an AR. One big thing to note is they've done away with the traditional AK safety lever. Gone are the days where your stretching your index finger out trying to find and actuate the lever. They chosen to go with a standard AR style safety which is much more ergonomic and easier to manipulate. It is gas adjustable to help accommodate those of you who run suppressors. Also their top of the line model comes with Magpul furniture front to back. All and all I'm very impressed with this evolution of the AK. I would absolutely love to get my hands on it for more testing and show you guys how this thing runs.
