M1 Carbine Custom Red Dot Mount Range Test

Took the M1 carbine out to test the custom red dot mount. I think it will hold fine once I have more time to really dial it in. On the next trip out to the range I'll bring some paper targets to get a better idea of how it's shooting. Then I can make any needed adjustments and call it good!
I don't really have a lot of experience using red dot sights, so if anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated!
I was trying to keep the dot in the center of the sight and most of my hits came when I was aiming just up and to the right of center on the target.
