Magnum Pistols vs Deer Shoulder

In General

Today on Kentucky Ballistics we take a deer shoulder and shoot it with several different high powered pistols. I found this deer shoulder when I was cleaning out my deep freezer. I wasn't sure how long it had been in there, so instead of just throwing it away I figured we could shoot it! I decided to use a 10mm, 44 Magnum and 454 Casull. All three of these pistol calibers are calibers that would be commonly used when deer hunting. The guns used in this video are a Glock Generation 4 Model 20 10mm, a Ruger Super Redhawk 44 Magnum and a Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan 454 Casull. The ammunition that I use is Hornady 10mm 180 gr. XTP hollow points, Federal Fusion 44 Magnum 240 gr. hollow points, Buffalo Bore 44 Magnum +P+ 340 gr. hardcasts and Hornady 454 Casull 300 gr. XTP MAG hollow points. I think you will be very surprised at what kind of damage these pistols do to this deer shoulder. I hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching!
