Mandatory Training isn't the answer for Gun Responsibility.

On October 27th, 2021, Rob Pincus was invited to discuss Gun Rights & Responsibilities with a group of Wake Forest Student.
This was the fourth year that Pincus accepted the invitation from Prof. David Yamane, who offers a unique course on the Sociology of Guns.

The topic of "mandatory training" to exercise gun rights came up during the session and Pincus explained how a system of Government Mandated training violates the Second Amendment and, historically, fails to meet the level of responsibility that all gun owners should feel in regard to their preparation to use a gun to defend themselves or others.

Pincus believes that the gun community must normalize training and education to the point where anyone carrying a gun who doesn't put time and effort into appropriate preparation to use a gun defensively is seen as failing to meet their responsibility as a gun owner.
