Noveske NSR 15" Keymod Rail :: Rainier XTC Comp :: Musty Yeti

In General

Today I got a package in from DSG Arms. Inside was something I've wanted for some time, the 15" Noveske NSR keymod rail. I have to say this is one insanely light rail system. I always thought my Troy Industries Alpha Rail was light, but not now. The NSR makes the Alpha feel as heavy as a Mac Truck. Some of the NSR's features... it has a top continuous picatinny rail, proprietary steel barrel nut, and it weighs in at only 9 ounces including the barrel nut. The nice thing about a keymod rail is it allows you to place picatinny rail pieces wherever you need them. Obviously that's where you save weight over a quad rail.

Along with the NSR I also got the Rainier Arms XTC compensator. This comp is designed to reduce felt recoil & muzzle rise with a relatively low muzzle flash. I've heard nothing but great things about this comp and at such a low price tag I couldn't resist picking one up. They have a money back guarantee, so if you aren't impressed, send it back and get a full refund. The XTC comp is 2.2 inches long, weighs in at 2.6 ounces, and only costs 56 bucks. I great high value part by Rainier Arms.

I'm looking forward to getting the NSR and XTC installed on my rifle to see how they really perform.
