Schrade SCHSH1 Telescoping Folding Shovel

My review of the Schrade SCHSH1 Telescoping Folding Shovel. A versatile backpacking shovel designed for many uses from survival to bug out gear. The SCHSH1 folds for easy storage and telescopes to its full length of over 19 inches. With a concave shovel blade forged from 1055 carbon steel with beveled sharpened edges it can make easy work of most tasks that require a shovel.

Use the SCHSH1 to dig holes, shovel snow, and for light chopping. The steel striking surface can be used to pound tent stakes. Loosen the locking collar and reposition the shovel blade at a 90 degree angle for digging a furrow or scraping.
