If it was me, I would take the extractor down and check the extractor spring if the extractor looks good. If there is a problem with either one then get new ones. I have already had mine down just to clean it and the extractor channel. I put a little gun grease on the spring and put it back together. The slave pin is a bit of a pain but it does come out and go back in fine. Mine was broken in out of the box. Haha. But I did get 500 through it before I called it good. If a problem is going to show up it will most likely be in the first 100 rounds and to a lesser extent up to 500. Mine was born June 1, 2019. Yes they have made changes since the early pistols. In fact it might be a good idea just to order a new extractor and extractor spring and replace the old ones since your pistol is older. Yes I would go with new factory parts. Not unapproved aftermarket though. Good luck with it.
Sorry to hear it. My XL runs like a champ.
