Glad to hear no issues after 1200 rounds. I think RobertM makes some valid points. I wouldn’t worry about it either. Just keep an eye and make sure it doesn’t get drastically worse. It’s a mechanical machine parts are going to wear. Thanks for updating again, keep us updated on this. I do want still want one..

A firearms engineer said it should have a lifetime round count of about 20,000 rounds. He said a Smith Shield will have half that. With a pistol this small I expect to have some handling problems to work out. I can have a mag release and/or slide catch problem with my Taurus G2c using a one handed rack drill if I am not careful. I have not mastered it yet and I have not even done a weak hand one handed rack drill yet.

Yep. I agree. Keep it clean. I have slide wear on my G2c and it has over 600 rounds through it. No big deal for a $200 mass produced pistol. My Bersa TPR9C has very little if any wear after over 600 rounds. Its a $400 hand fitted pistol.

If the chipping on the outer lockup of the barrel does not affect the function I would not worry too much about it. Just keep an eye on it and where it contacts the slide when it locks up. The slide should have corresponding marks from the barrel. Unless like you said, it was chipped off separately from the slide. Sig will fix any problems if need be. I agree. Striker drag does not affect the function of the pistol. Every small compact and micro sub compact will have some degree of drag. Small slides unlock sooner than longer slides. Thanks for sharing its condition after 1200 rounds.

Thanks, i agree with you. As long as it runs I'm satisfied. I was looking at the slide to see if their was a marking that would reflect the barrel chipping but I don't see anything so i'll keep a mental note & if the chipping gets bigger I'll reach out to Sig. I think many ppl just want to complain about any & everything. Then again this gun isn't cheap so I kind of understand.

@Gunguy2a: If you don't have any corresponding marks on the slide from the barrel then yeah, more than likely it was done separately from the function of the pistol. Well some gun reviewers as you know are prejudiced about brand companies so we have to keep it all in perspective and look at the merits of a gun rather than how they feel or their opinion. There is always a percentage of new guns that will have problems that companies have to deal with initially. But now that the 365 has been out over a year, those problems have been corrected so there is no need for folks to carry on about it. Thanks again for sharing your update.

You might like this. Here is that firearms engineer that reviewed his after 5,000 rounds. Its a long video but he goes over the pistol thoroughly and the all the negative hype about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzgcDxhz8ao
