Testing Recoil: Glock vs XD 9mm with the RMI

When a couple of ppl said Glocks had less recoil than the XDs, I knew I had to find a way to test and find out the truth. Well after a few hours in the garage I came up with the Recoil Measurement Indicator (RMI) - IOW I put together some wood to hold a pistol so I could test & show the effects of recoil of different firearms.

Now this is the first time I tried out this device and I was a bit nervous, but it worked fine. WTS I do need to secure the base and add a ruler to measure the results more accurately.
