The 80 Second Polymer 80 Pistol Lower

In General

It’s not actually 80 seconds, it’s sixty, originally trimmed for instagram. Speed-enhanced video of the tactics i used to complete my PF940V2, with a couple tricks at the end that I’ve found EXTREMELY helpful in expediting to a working weapon.

If you’ve already watched Polymer 80’s video or any others, this video should help you refine your techniques and save time.

Couple things “I wish i knew before i did my first p80” are in the last four or so 5-second-ish clips:
1- the recommend a hand drill vs drill press because the pin holes need to be slightly larger than the actual bit. A little in and out makes for a tight but workable fit later.
2- the silver rear rail module has a rough spot along the horizontal surface (circled in red) that will make contact with most trigger bars and cause your assembled weapon to not trigger-reset when the trigger is held back after firing.
3- my fully assembled firearm had significant drag and would not completely cycle manually. I eventually deduced that the rear rails were just a shade thicker than factory Glock rails. After disassembling and sanding/polishing these just slightly, was good to go.
4- the front rail module rear ears are too wide to go quietly into the frame. During my research I found folks shaving down the ears, or thinning the walls of the frame to make it fit. I do NOT recommend those methods. I placed my frame about 6” in front of a space heater for 10 minutes to warm the polymer, and then needed only a little leverage from a large flat-head screwdriver to flex the pocket open and coax the front rail module down in.
