The CMMG 22 Evolution Review - Stainless Steel Conversion Bolt 5.56 to 22LR. Here is the Cmmg website = http://www.cmmginc.com/

Normally ppl with M4 & AR15s train with .223 &/or 5.56 - I get my .223 ammo from HPR ammo, a U.S. based company that offers lots of great ammo, here is their website... http://hprammo.com/

Here is the link for the 22 Evolution

Here is my review of the newest, stainless steel conversion bolt from CMMG. This 22 Evolution is specifically made for the 5.56 mil spec AR-15 family of firearms. It replaces the standard bolt assembly so your rig can shoot .22LR ammunition. Its a recoil operated sub-caliber device that shoots great - little to no malfunctions and can save you a lot of money by shooting .22LR instead of 5.56 ammo.

CMMG makes both right & left handed models to satisfy every shooter, and they make conversion bolts for .223 and 5.56 milled AR platforms. The suggested ammo to use is Federal .22LR 36 grain, HP, copper plated rounds or similar ammo. CMMG recommends a 100 round break in period and during this test I fired 200+ rounds with only 2 stovepipes. Light & subsonic ammo is not recommended as it will not operate as well as the above mentioned ammo.

Here is CMMG's ammunition warning page... http://www.cmmginc.com/pages/ammunition.html

Shooting with the 22 Evolution will save you a lot of money & give high quality results (if you can aim and shoot straight). I am pretty pleased with the results and look forward to shooting more with this conversion bolt.

Here is the vid review of the original CMMG and some accuracy vids where I split playing cards with the 22LR conversion bolt...
