To RAS or not to RAS? Part 2. Wear and tear on the RAS47.

In General

I took my RAS47 to the range last night and ran 200 rounds of Tula 122 gr FMJ through it. The point of this video is to show some close up footage of the bolt carrier group and chamber to see if the wear and tear is anything beyond what 200 rounds should do to an AK.

My opinion: The wear is normal. I felt no metal deformation and other than some of the black finish wearing off, the wear on the BCG seems no worse than any other gun that I have owned after the first 200 rounds.

Heck, my FN 9C showed similar finish wear on the slide and barrel after my first trip to the range.

I will keep posting videos as we track the wear and tear that this rifle will endure.

I plan on taking the RAS to a certified gunsmith to have the headspace measured to see if there is any excessive wear for the number of rounds fired through it.
