I have been on fence abou saying anything on this matter at all until it gets closer to the ban deadline date, figured I calm down a little by then.
I agree 100% with turbo1889 that the way this was done is far worse than what was actually done. It could have been vertical grips or redoes. That said I have one of these bump stocks and have no problems controlling it. It is just like anything else, it takes practice. I have no issue discussing any of this as I have video on my channel firing a rifle with it on so it’s out there for the world to see and there is no sense triying to hide it. Come the deadline in March, I will destroy it because no matter how wrong this is and it is wrong. I’m not going to take the chance of being a felon and sent to prison over a 100 dollar plastic accessory. I don’t have the means to be the test subject for that fight. Trump was elected by people like me. Not to sound racist, but angry white middle aged men. Angry at the way the country was being run by the professional politicians. The status quo. We all thought he is a businessman not a politician so he will make the proper choices that need to be made. However since he has been in office our gun rights all over the country have been given away even more. 10 round mags in New Jersey for instance. Yes I strongly believe in a states right to make laws and govern themselves but not at the expense of violating the US Constitution. He has proved to me with this latest stunt that a politician is exactly what he is, because when he was campaigning he told us exactly what we wanted to hear. The ATF didn’t do this on their own, they were directed by Trump to do this. Trump took the oath of office and it states to support and defend the constitution. He is failing miserably at it. I like all other Vets took a very similar oath, several times and still to this day do and will support the constitution. In the gun community you hear a lot about the 2nd amendment but you have to support it all. You don’t Get to pick and choose the parts you like. I bought this stock legally and now by a revised regulation, not a change to the law I have to get rid if it without due process or compensation. Trump is violating my 2nd, 5th and probably 4th amendment by doing this. Remember the comment he made that Pence had to bail him out of when the bumpstock issue first came up after the Vegas shooting “we’ll take the guns and then worry about due process”.
I am a member of the GOA and they with some others have filed suit against this illegal ban and we will just have to see how that comes out. Hopefully for the best because if they fail, it will set legal precedence. Then it could be the beginning of the end of all of our gun rights. I try not to get political on my channel or when commenting on others as everyone has a right to their opinion. That is their 1st amendment right but this is to much.

Actually, HOW they are trying to go about banning bump-stocks is far more the issue then that they are trying to ban bump-stocks. If they would have put forward a bill to ban bump-stocks in either the House or Senate and voted on it then sent it to the other house and voted on it and then sent it up for Trump to sign. That would have been BAD but it wouldn't have been TERRIBLE & HORRIFIC. What they are doing is TERRIBLE & HORRIFIC because they are having un-elected bureaucrats try to redefine an existing law to interpret it to say something it never said. That is a TERRIBLE & HORRIFIC precedent that if they get away with it means they will be able to re-interpret existing laws without having to pass anything new to ban many if not all guns !!! I personally am a person who actually doesn't like bump-stocks and think there actually should be some legitimate government regulation of them, but I understand that how they are going about it means it must be apposed at all costs. You did not address this in your video, which if you want to win over other people like me who support gun rights in general but don't like bump-stocks then you need to explain that HOW they are trying to do this is the real problem. And just to explain, the reason I think bump-stocks are an issue is because they are a terrible accessory not because they allow someone to "mag dump" so fast but because the way they work they are an accident waiting to happen. I've actually tried one and they make the gun very difficult to control. For me it shouldn't be the ATF that has an issue with them it should be the consumer safety department. The same department that warns people about food poisoning recalls and such, now if you want to eat contaminated food, so long as your just risking your own neck then its your right but if you want to feed that contaminated food to someone else without telling them, well that's another thing entirely. Oh, and by the way I think the government shouldn't be able to prohibit full auto for civilian sale provided the guns allowed to be sold are controllable in full auto. Government has no right to prohibit weapons that work as intended and you can hit what your trying to hit with them and not hit stuff you don't want to hit with them. On the other hand products that are difficult to control and your going to have freaking accidents and innocent people who don't know what they are getting into are going to accidentally hurt people with unintentionally because the product is uncontrollable, well that is a legitimate area for government but government must be carefully controlled to be sure it don't get out of hand in that area, especially with anything 2nd or any of the other bill of rights related.

Thank you for watching the video and taking the time to comment. I agree that the way they went about it is even worse than what they did
