If you recall, our last range visit with the Winchester Model 1903 showed cases sticking in the chamber due to fire forming to a pitted bore. Polishing the bore seemed to make it LOOK like it would cure the problem but as you see here it only managed 6 shots before it hung up again. I believe the chamber heating up expands and the cases begin to stick.

Since ammo for these is so scarce, a proprietary .22 Winchester Auto round, there is no way to try different ammo brands and such....the other boxes I have are relics. I think we have done all we can.

Bottom line.....it works....till it doesn't. Good enough.
