Just when you think it can't get any better, wait till a huge double drop tine jumps into the fight to express him dominance. He directly goes after the older of the two deer and the younger one bolts only to come back later and then run off again. Keep a close eye on the fight and you can actually see one of the tines from these magnificent animals break off during the scuffle.
This is a good example of what can happen when you manage your deer population and remove all the lower quality antlered deer. By leaving the better quality animals to breed, you can increase the chances of better genetics dominating your land. Obviously taking on such a method and not directly breeding your deer will take years and lots of patience even on a high fence. Following the same thought on a low fence can take even longer but should increase the quality. Remember to pass on that younger deer and let him get older.
