The cool thing about AR15's is the ability for us the users to make changes in the configuration depending on the needs or for the cool factor. In this video I remove a Troy 15 inch free float tube that I use on my 3-gun rifle. I am replacing it with a Midwest Industries 15" free float hand rail that I found to be much "cooler" looking than the Troy. I'll go over the specifics of switching out these parts and give you step by step instruction.

NOTE: this rifle has made another change. Make sure you see my video on the MAG Lower. It's a Magnesium AR15 lower weighing less than most forged Aluminum lowers. Additionally, the rail from MI in this video is swapped out for an AP Customs carbon fiber free float. These changes have made the complete rifle with scope weigh less than 6 pounds. See my hunting channel TexasNative00 where this rifle is used to hunt in the Central Texas Area for deer and other critters.

Thanks! I have a floating handguard, and now I know how to take it off. I have a flash hider on it that is inside the handguard, and plan to remove and try out a linear compensator.
