50/50 mix of Lino and Commercially Pure (window glass came) is referred to as "No 2 Alloy" usually 6-6 Sb/Sn and will be about 8-10 brinel. You don't have to water quench them to get the hardness, most of that comes from the alloy itself, and skipping that step will get you away from the problems caused by the addition of water to the lead (oxides). Typically the "hard cast" (water quenched) process is due to the presence of Arsenic in the lead, which will make it much harder.
Looks like a fun little caliber, would probably be a hoot to shoot in a bolt gun like that.
