.38 Special Backwards Wadcutter Test (VS Regular Wadcutter)

In General

Backwards wadcutters! Today I am testing the Berry's plated 148 gr hollow base wadcutter loaded into .38 Special ammunition. I am testing them loaded both traditionally as well as backwards (inverted). The inverted hollow base wadcutter is a classic idea that was utilized back when revolvers were the main law enforcement and concealed carry option. The idea is that when you invert a hollow base wadcutter, you immediately have a hollow point! Always appreciative of any channel help :)

Have you ever run multiple wad cutters in one case. I played around with it back in early 90s in a 357 load. Don’t remember the weights but I ran 3 in one case. Tore up some milk jugs.

Maybe it was two in one case. Been a long time. I’ve slept since then.

@NC Gun Guy : That's interesting and something I had never thought of. They would have to be really light for caliber wadcutters to even work, I mean like two 100 gr projectiles might be short enough to work, but I wouldnt imagine much over 600 FPS for them.

@Gun_Sam: yea, they were light, I don’t think they were 100 gr. Fun though. No idea on the velocity. It was a hot load I do remember that.
