5x5 Drill on a Business Card!!!

In General

The 5x5 drill is a classic drill from Gila Hays where you shoot 5 rounds at a 5-inch target from 5 yards in under 5 seconds. Later, Claude Werner modified it to the 5x5x5 where you must do it 5 times in a row to demonstrate true proficiency via repetition. The drill is shot from the low-ready position and can be done from a concealed, holstered position to add an additional layer of difficulty.

This version of the drill is a play on the playing card drill, very similar to the 5x5, that is run in Tom Givens' Rangemaster classes. Like the 5x5 drill, the goal is to put 5 rounds into a playing card, from concealment, from 5 yards, in under 5 seconds. If you do it in the Rangemaster class, Tom signs the card for you. (I happen to have one that i earned in his class.)

Recently, the crew at @citizenssafety were challenged to do the drill on a business card, which is much smaller than a playing card. They then extended the challenge to their alumni. This is my attempt at the drill. 5 rounds. 5 yards. 5 seconds. From concealment. I shot the drill cold. Not too shabby for a first attempt.

What drills are you running in your practice sessions? Give this one a go and let me know how you did!
