A Custom Colt from Miami Vice

Hit TV show Miami Vice did a lot of things right: the colors, the cars, the style, and of course the firearms.

By hiring IPSC and USPSA shooters as well as shooters of various other disciplines as technical advisors, the guns of Miami Vice had an authenticity and cool factor all their own. Case in point is this Colt MK IV Series 80 Government model used on the series that underwent significant custom modifications by Richard Heinie.

Not only was the pistol featured on Miami Vice, and wielded by Liam Neeson, it even made the front cover of American Handgunner Magazine.
