I agree. Force your reps with your vote if you have to. Watch how your reps vote because they are voting for you. They "represent" you and not anyone else in DC or elsewhere. They are not there to play anyone's "game" of power. They have one major duty regardless of anything else or anyone else while they are in office and they are bound to it regardless of anything else. Its called an oath of office that they swear to upon taking their office. If they cannot keep their oath that they swore to then you better find someone else to represent you who can keep their oath. Your civil liberties and rights under the law are at stake and its your responsibility ensure that your reps support, defend, and keep them as they swore to.
“The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”
— U.S. Constitution, Article VI, clause 3

Oath of Office
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.
