Drilling with AR in 1° F with insulated gloves. There's a few interesting obstacles that need to be overcome when training in very cold weather.

The first obstacle I had to deal with was that almost all handguns are not shootable with insulated gloves. AR and AK rifles are suitable to shooting in extreme cold.

Other interesting issues that have come up is that Optics fog up when moving from indoors to outdoors ( hot to cold). A quickly removable red dot or 45° offset iron sights can be very useful. The combat trigger is also preferable to an aftermarket target trigger, because you can still feel the combat trigger through the insulated gloves and not set the round off.
