Rob Pincus, the designer of the Avidity Arms PD10, goes over the features and design philosophy of the PD10-OC Pistol.
The PD10 was designed for defense... it's the best set of compromises for those who both carry and practice with a defensive handgun. Pincus has spent over two decades teaching defensive handgun skills. During that time, he has watched thousands of shooters on the range with every variation of popular handgun design from the last fifty years. The PD10's grip and features were designed, based on that experience, to fit the widest plausible set of human hands and make the pistol efficient to use.
The "OC" stands for Optic Cut, as the PD10 slide is ready for a Red Dot Sight, if the owner would like to mount one. The cut is compatible with the Shield RMSc, Holosun 407k/507k & EPS Carry, and similar models. The factory installed Ameriglo I.C.E. Training CLAW Sight Set includes tritium insert and will work with a properly installed RDS.
