Beretta 92FS Hammer Spring Replacement

In General

I replaced the hammer spring with a 17 pound spring in an attempt to lighten the double action trigger pull. I don't see much difference. There is a noticeable difference in the size of the 2 hammer springs. I don't understand why there is not much difference in trigger pull?

I don't want to discourage you from having your Beretta trigger improved. Let us know in the comment section how it turns out.

Wolff makes another spring that is supposed to help trigger pull. It's a reduced power trigger spring. If you have a polymer trigger, It won't work. It's called the Wolff Trigger Conversion Unit.

I was mis-informed about the use of plastic parts on the 92FS, Ralph's pistol has metal parts for the lanyard/hammer spring cup, trigger and safety. It also has a metal guide rod. Maybe the newer models have more plastic parts now a days?

Work on your firearm at your own risk. We recommend that you take your firearm to a professional gunsmith. This video is for entertainment purposes only.
