Can Bullets Go Through A Car
Many people wonder if they are able to use cars for cover. Well, that leads us into the difference between cover and concealment: which I won't go I to grave detail in this video. So behind the engine block is a piece of cover I would seek if I needed to. Remember that majority of the vehicles on the road today are fiberglass and very fragile. You can lean against a car too long and leave a dent, so imagine what a bullet can do?
In this, non scientific video, we are using the Quarter Circle 10 QC5. 10.5 in barrel, side charging, PCC, launching Fiocchi 115gr 9mm from roughly 12-15 yards away. On the opposite side of the vehicle is a silhouette steel target. You can see that half the hanging bolt head is missing; that is a direct result of the rounds existing the driver door and making impact. That confirms they are still moving at good velocity and many of the rounds went through the center console and still made their way out. This can be seen by watching debris inside the vehicle fly up; that debris is from the console.
So, there you have it. Cars can be beneficial but are just as risky if you ever need to get away from active fire.
Thank you Quarter Circle 10 for providing the pistol. Please go visit them at Quartercircle10.com for more information.
Thank you Volkswagen for making the car we destroyed 😁
