CMMG Mk47 First Impressions

Rob Pincus takes a look at the CMMG Mk47 and tests it out over the course of a couple of days at Ancient City Shooting Range. The Mk47 "Mutant" is a brand new rifle design that incorporates aspects of both the AR15 and the AK47 to put the 7.62x39 round into a rifle that feels and handles like an AR.
Unlike previous attempts in this arena, the Mk47 uses an AR10 sized Bolt and Bolt Carrier Group to ensure structural integrity of the bolt face, but the gun only weighs 7lbs and will accept an AR15 trigger, grip, stock, sights, optic and/or rail.
Pincus gives an overview of the gun and its operation, tests reliability and accuracy and discuses why the 7.62x39mm round is perfect for those wanting a .30 caliber AR Rifle.
