IMO, there are not very many knives that come made as fine as Knives of Alaska. KOA has knives specific for the job and every knife they make is 100% quality. KOA uses D2 steel (rockwell hardness +/-60) so the hunter can depend on holding the needed edge when needed most and the sheaths from KOA are the real deal. With KOA there is no need to buy the knife with the need to have a custom sheath made. Everything is professiional grade. If you are unsure of your sharpening skills you can send your knife to KOA and they will send it back ready to go for your next hunt. Also available by KOA are Etreme Defense Survival knives and everyday carry knives (EDC). Click on the links above to check them out. I think they would be good knife choices. God bless and thanks for watching. Highboy
