Comparable .38 Special and 9mm

When comparing .38 Special VS 9mm we often see people who test these cartridges in ways that they consider "fair" by running them in firearms that are not necessarily the most common or popular, and they also have terrible ammunition choices. Today we are going to see what I consider FAIR by using cartridges and firearms that will adequately represent them, and they are also historically some of the most common barrel lengths especially in LE. The 9mm is a 124 gr+P Speer Gold Dot fired from the Ruger Security 9 4" barrel and the .38 Special is a 125 gr+P Gold Dot (loaded by Buffalo Bore) fired from a S&W 686 4" barrel.
