Crosman 2240 Tabletop Review

In General

This is the 2240 from Crosman, a .22 cal single shot bolt operated pistol with plenty of power. Has a powerful report too, this is the loudest air pistol I've shot and it's louder than Daisy 880 or Crosman M4-177 rifles.

Pros:
Relatively low price ($50-$60), rifled barrel for accuracy, comfortable grip, very powerful, holds its CO2 in storage for a while without leaking, plenty of upgrade accessories available,

This is one fun gun to shoot with only two "Cons". The first is that the rear sight doesn't seem to go low enough to sight in properly, at least not on mine. Perhaps it is designed to shoot at further distances than I'm trying it at. Expect a shooting review soon where I'll test that idea. The other MINOR gripe is the CO2 doesn't last long in the .22 cal! But that is really a minor gripe given all the power and capacity to deliver a heavy pellet this gun has.

Overall, for someone who wants to take the time to aim properly and do some target shooting this is a very capable gun at a relatively low price. Would also do well for small pest control - even if you miss, the boom will still get rid of a good sized critter!
