my black DE XIX does not have the bottom rail. I think that is unique to the stainless frames, sofar, might change in future production. Also, if you look at the lug spacing on the top rail, compare to the bottom rail, they're different. The bottom rail is true Picatinny, but the top rail, I believe is Weaver. Found that out when I tried to use a Trijicon 2-screw pic-rail mount for my RMR, didn't fit, lug spacing interfered with 2nd cross-screw, so had to use a 1-screw pic rail RMR mount instead (e.g. LaRue, AD). the width is fine, just the lug spacing is bigger. Would've preferred the 2-screw mount for more secure mounting. oh well. Magnum Research should change that, don't know what they were thinking, probably makes all the hunting people happy, but there's so many scope mounts nowadays that are Picatinny, it's almost the standard, WTF!
