I thought you're only supposed to shoot jacketed ammo through the DE. otherwise you get lead fouling, lead accumulation in the gas port, and then gun stops working, no fixing. I have a DE XIX also (44 Mag), I wanted the "Made In Israel" version, which only comes in one flavor: black, std 6" barrel. so I had to buy the comp'd barrel separately. I also went and got the 10" barrel during a BF sale. sofar, found out that MAGTECH, Blazer, and HPR is too weak-assed to cycle my DE, but American Eagle 240gr jacketed JSP works gangbusters! I have a RMR on my comp'd barrel, and a MRO on the 10", sofar, so good!
