Dillon XL650, 223/5.56, Video 69, Headspace, Excessive Headspace, Insufficient Headspace, SAAMI Min

For this video I define headspace, speak about excessive/insufficient headspace and then we resize the previous fired cases back to SAMMI min. A word of WARNING!!! In this video I use two examples to explain excessive/insufficient headspace. If anyone turns my examples of excessive headspace or insufficient headspace into perversion I will ban them without notice. I certainly don't mind a good chuckle because by nature it is a bit comical but if anybody begins turning it into perversion and immorality I will excuse them from the channel without warning. God bless and thanks for watching. Highboy

Highboy, love your videos. I have watched them all.
I would like to say you make the case for the Redding turret press. I reload on a Dillon 550b, which is why I was into your videos. However, with the Dillon, competition shell holders are not an option. I would like to see how you achieve uniform headspace on the Dillon, either 550/650, so that I can translate that to my own reloading.
I understand that with similar head stamps I can get some uniformity, but I don't think it's at all possible with a progressive press to be within 0.001", on all cases. JMT.
Keep up the great work, I've learned a lot.

You can achieve uniformity, BUT... you will have to get adequate enough camover that you will be at about a minimum -.007 on a Dillon die... ask me how I know. The only way I address uniformity for a SAAMI min chamber or a minimal shoulder bump is with the Redding Competition Shell Holders. Excellent question. I will past this in the description box.
