Do Pillows Really Silence Gunshots?

I wanted to test and see if movies are accurate in their depiction of pillows silencing gunshots so decided to try it out. I know this has been done several times already, but still was interested to try it first hand.
***NOTE*** The decibel app used is not accurate, and was only used as a second was to measure any reduction of sound. Decibel meters that can accurately measure gunshots cost $1000+.
