This is exactly why gun owners are our own worst enemy. Trump has been the most pro 2A president ever. The first thing he did in office was repeal Obama's EO which would have let any medical professional label you as unfit to own firearms, even if they didn't have any prior medical or criminal records as reason. That would have killed the 2A in its entirety. Trump also pulled out of the UN Arms Treaty which was also a major threat.

Trump is also the only one to have supported arming people such as teachers as the response to mass shootings, rather than more guards (which clearly have been ineffective as like LEO, they are not always where they are needed when they are needed).

Red flag laws also already exist, the problem is like with all gun control laws they are enforced against law abiding people and not actual criminals. There are many repeat offenders who we know are criminals yet they are protected by liberal leaning local governments. The purpose of the red flag is for LE to be able to do their job regardless of the left trying to put roadblocks because for the left crime equates to power. This is not the same as what the democrats have promoted, as Trump's support of red flags are where an actual warrant and judgement is required in order to seize firearms. The exact same constraints in a search warrant or arrest. Also unlike Obama's EO, Trump's red flag is temporary so if the state cannot present evidence of your guilt, your guns are not taken forever, you get them back and the government cannot bar you forever.

And the thing is you should already know how Trump works. Remember when he offered amnesty for the "Dreamers"? He wasn't giving it to them free despite what the fake republicans whined about, his conditions was for the wall, funding for border patrol and the end of sanctuary cities. If the democrats took that offer, the problem would be solved and the dreamers could be vetted. If the democrats rejected it like they did, now they cannot use that talking point as an argument because now they are on record for rejecting it. It is the same situation with bump stocks that many uninformed gun owners complain about. No one cared about bump stocks because there were other options on the market that weren't as difficult to use as bump stocks. Look up at forums before 2016 on bump stocks and almost everyone complains about how it is a useless gimmick. This is why Trump had that meeting with the NRA, to find sacrificial point just like the Dreamers. As a consequence of banning bump stocks, democrats cannot blame any other accessory anymore, as that would mean whatever they are suggesting to ban is proven ineffective.

This can be hashed back and forth over and over but in the end we will have to vote for the lesser of evils as we always have. We don't like it but its what we have. Red flag laws and bans are infringement no matter what Trump says. I certainly don't like a lot of what Trump does or says but he is leaps and bounds over an outright gun banning slaver like the Clintons, Obama, or any of the other democrat commies.

I watched: The Trump Video: An After Action Report first. It made watching this easier. I am not on the Trump train. I also know it would be worse if we had President Hillary Clinton. I think some of the things you said in the follow up video should have been in this one. I think the people who have pulled their support for you are either hard core Trump can do no wrong or they believe that you were saying that you are pro-Clinton, Sanders, or Obama. Trump is the lesser of two evils. Sometimes that's all we have. I've been to some of those third world shitholes that Trump was talking about in the past. Even though I am frustrated with things that happen here at all levels of government and society, I know from having been to those places that we are blessed to be Americans. Sometimes it is difficult as a patriot to swallow the things Trump does. It is also difficult to swallow the reactions. Do you kinda get what I am saying?

Trump is in it for Trump. Tired of the lies that spew out of his mouth. If you you blindly follow him your the sheep. Not sure who will get my vote in 2020, but I know who won’t.
