Dye and Destroy Polymer 80 Pistol Frame : the white flag experiment

Watch me cut cross sections out of my P80 Compact frame to answer the number one question about using RIT dye to colorize a handgun: "how deep does it go, and how easily will it wear off?".

The first couple minutes I discuss what I tried and what went wrong.

Then we cut through the frame in 3 different sections to reveal depth of dye.

Then the back half of the video shows the masking process I tried, a dye bath being made, and ultimately submerging and rinsing when finished.
