Firefighters Ordered To Remove US Flag From Truck
The Central Coventry Fire District in Rhode Island had to hire a PR firm to handle the fury set off by board chairman Fred Gralinski for comments he made last year but which only surfaced in the run up to Memorial Day when firefighters said they were told to remove the US flags from their trucks.
This is the Gralinski quote:
“They look like a bunch of yahoos. Like in the paper, like ISIS is Syria going to take over a city. I don’t think they need that big flag on the back of the truck. That’s not America to me. Those are a bunch of terrorists. So, I’m going to ask you to take the flag off the truck.”
