Firing .32 ACP from a .327/.32 H&R Mag Revolver - Can you and SHOULD You?

I hear a lot of people claiming that the .32 ACP is in a family of .32 caliber cartridges and that because it is semi-rimmed, it is compatible to fire from a .327 Federal Magnum or .32 H&R Magnum revolver. I am putting that to the test today with some Hornady Critical Defense .32 ACP ammunition fired through my Ruger LCR snub nose revolver and comparing this setup to the Hornady Critical Defense in .380 ACP fired from the Ruger LCP pistol. Always appreciative of any channel help :)
