I was always a small block Chevy fan myself brother. With one exception my second and favorite car. 1973 Mercury Cougar XR7 with a 351 Cleveland. I blew up the original engine and replaced it with a 4 barrel 351 Cleveland from a 70 mustang. That thing ran lake a scalded dog.

Have built hundreds of engigines and restored many cars since those days but if I could get one of them back it would be that cougar wither that stock junkyard replacement engine. Good old days.

And no matter what any one says, you can’t beat cubic inches! I want to to see the Tornio on the road after you put that 460 in it. My buddy had one I think it was a 1972 Torino when I had the Cougar. Not sure of the engine he had. We were both 16 - 17 in those days. Good memories. Good luck on your car.
