Form 1 suppressor on .308 bolt gun
Form 1 suppressors are a great and economical way to get into the suppressor game. Two of the four suppressors on our trust are Form 1 cans. The one in this video is my son's. It's made from a titanium outer tube, blast chamber tube, end cap, and adapter; and drilled stainless steel freeze plugs make up the baffle stack. Total cost was around $225, not counting the cost of a muzzle device to mount it to, or the cost of threading the barrel. My son was a gunsmith at the time, so he threaded the barrel himself.
So when you compare $225 plus $200 for the tax stamp, that’s a considerable savings compared to 3X-4X the cost for a commercial can plus the stamp. Note that neither of us were wearing any kind of ear protection when shooting on this fully outdoors range. It simply wasn’t necessary.
