Gel test: 22lr CCI Mini Mag
.22lr CCI Mini Mag fired from a Walther P22 through 4 layers of denim into calibrated gelatin.
BB calibration: 609fps, 3.75"
Shots 1-3: 12.5"
Shot 4: 11.75"
There was no deformation on any of the bullets and their tiny cavities were entirely plugged by denim. They yawed 180 degrees.
If you care, I was also curious what my Benjamin Sheridan .22 cal pellet rifle would do so I fired one each of a pointed and a domed "hollow point" into bare gelatin. They both penetrated 4.5".
